How to start a blog and make money
* How to start a blog and make money
1. Find out what your interests are. What do you like doing? Is it writing, music, art, sports, or something else entirely? Determine what makes you happy. There may be other things that interest you, but if not, at least this should help you create content that's relevant to you.
2. Decide on a niche. A niche is a market that has been pre-defined and divided into smaller groups of people who have similar interests, hobbies, etc. Think about what kind of person would be interested in following you. Who do you know whose life could benefit from your knowledge? Write down some thoughts about these topics; they could be broad enough to cover a variety of niches, but specific enough to get you started. Don't worry too much about being 100% accurate - just write about whatever comes to mind first. Get creative
3. Create a website. Once you've created your site, find blogs and websites related to your niche. 4. Start blogging. If you don't already have a blog, sign up for Blogger or Tumblr. You may want to consider hosting your own domain name instead of using Blogger or Tumblr's hosted option, as this gives you greater control over the content of your posts and allows you to link directly to any page on your site (as opposed to linking through their platform). Make sure to check the tips section below before starting your blog.
4. Promote your blog. Now that you have a blog set up, it's time to promote it! Share your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. To get traction, try promoting your posts once every 2 weeks.
5. Work on monetizing your blog. One way to make money off your blog is to sell advertising space on it. However, I recommend against this unless you have significant traffic. Instead, put together a bundle of your best posts and offer them for sale as a digital eBook. You can sell your books on Amazon or publish your eBooks on Apple's iBookstore. Alternatively, you can also offer your services as a freelancer, writer, artist, musician, designer, etc. The options are really endless.
1. What do I want to say?
2. This question might seem like a no brainer but if you don't know what you are going to put on your blog it's hard to come up with something that really matters. If you have some topic that you want to talk about, then just write it down as a short statement. You can even find a topic by looking through your own life experiences or those around you.
3. How can I promote my post?
4. The second step is to determine how you will sell your content. There are many different ways you can monetize your blog, from free and paid ads, to selling merchandise, affiliate marketing, and much more.
5. Do I need a website/hosting service?
6. If you decide that writing isn't for you, you can always use platforms like Medium to share your thoughts. If you're planning on starting a business, you'll want a domain name and hosting services. These services allow you to build and edit your site without needing any technical knowledge.
6. Create your own website
7. You can create your own website using WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, etc. If you are looking to monetize your site, then I would recommend starting out with Google Adsense. 2. Find niche topics
8. Once you have created your website, you need to figure out what type of content people like to read. Search for keywords that get lots of searches and use those keywords in your posts.
9. Build relationships
10. One way to build a relationship with your readers is to give them something worth giving back. A lot of bloggers do this by offering free tutorials, how-to videos, and other types of content they have made.
